Monsters Stalk Neighborhood
Frighten Several People
At least 2 monsters have been observed in our neighborhood -
chasing people and pets. They are a terrible, terrible
sight. We almost didn't print their pictures...
These monsters seemed to respond when their names were called
out - 'Heathcliff' and 'Gertrude'. We don’t know if these are
their real names or
the names of someone they fear.
WHO KNOWS what dastardly mischief these monsters would have caused
to our peaceful community if they had been allowed to continue
their rampage?
A great and powerful group of valiant young people have stepped
forward to save us.
They are the monster squad. The 'Legion of
the Dragon'!
Who are these heroes?
Victoria Stephens, Alex Nagy, Rai-Sean Johnson, Trey Woodard,
Erica Woodard
Christopher Stephens, Tamarra Johnson
They are brave people who care about their family, friends and
neighbors.
Our good citizens of the future.
'HOORAY FOR THE LEGION OF THE DRAGON!!'
Hotdogasaurus Safari
Seven neighborhood young adults met Saturday, April 18 at the
home of Dan and Norma Hopper to plot the removal of monsters
from our community.
Refreshments including hotdogasaurus gizzards were served.
The meeting had hardly begun when a suspicious movement was noticed
by Trey, Alex and Christopher in the nearby woods. It was the
scary monsters!
Hardly a word was spoken as they looked, first at each other,
then at the challenge before them. Everyone rushed to the coming
battle with the hotdogasaurus monsters. They picked up anything
they could find to use as weapons.
With steely eyes and dogged determination they marched, sometimes
ran to do battle.
These young men and women, 'The Legion of the Dragon' (The Monster
Squad), were quickly on the job.
It was Nip and Tuck for a while...
We think that was their last names. Heathcliff Nip and Gertrude
Tuck.
They initially had the upper hand - er, ah - claw. They chased
the Monster Squad for 3 blocks until Sir Trey finally had enough.
He stopped, turned around, shook his fist and shouted: “Enough!”.
This so startled the monsters that ‘they’ turned and started
running away.
“Come on gang!” Trey shouted. His sister, Erica, said “Stop talking
and let's start chasing”.
Trey and Erica started chasing the monsters. The rest of the
Monster Squad, emboldened by their courage, followed.
This was the turning point of the battle. There was just so much
excitement that it’s hard to keep track of it all.
The monsters started running toward the park when Christopher
tripped them both and they tumbled into the culvert next to the
park.
“You don’t scare me one bit!” taunted Victoria.
Alex and Tamarra bashed the monster again and again.
With little more than their courage, their fists and feet, and
some sticks - the Monster Squad subdued and slew the monsters.
It took the entire crew to drag the monsters to Mr. Hopper’s
house where he will carve them up into steaks and serve them
at the ‘Hotdogasaurus Roast" at his house on May 3rd at 1:00
PM.
What will happen if more monsters invade our community? Never
fear! The Monster Squad is here. These valiant heroes will keep
an eye out for new threats to our tranquility an happiness.
Every parent and grandparent should be proud of these gallant
young adults who put our well being above their own comfort and
safety.
The future of our community, and our country are safe.
Victoria and Rai-Sean
Deal the Final Blows...
to the most vile of the monsters that have been terrorizing our
community.
The monster shouted “Don’t hurt me - don’t hurt me! I won’t scare
people any more, just pets and squirrels!”
That wasn't good enough for Rai-Sean and Victoria.
Rai-Sean held the monster down while Victoria
dealt the final blow.
Now we are safe again - for now...

Hotdogasaurus Update
We are all looking forward to the Hotdogasaurus Roast on
Saturday, May 23, 2009
1:00 PM
at the Hopper’s
HOWEVER
!!! ATTENTION !!!
We discovered a large object in the woods that we think may be
a Hotdogasaurus ‘Egg’... The object is large, oval and has
dark green and light green variegated stripes. Some think
it resembles a ‘watermelon’. We will examine it more closely
at the Roast.
This is fun.
Please be there. You can bring a covered dish and/or a dessert
if you want to — but you don’t have to bring anything but your
smiling face(s).
Please RSVP
(so we know how many ‘steaks’, etc to fix.)
Special NOTE:
The Heroes who helped slay the Hotdogasaurus beasts
will be asked to tell us all the role they played in the drama.
The most exciting story will win ‘at least $20.00’. Some of you
parents and grandparents might want to chip in a couple of bucks
so that the ‘runner up prizes’ might be larger.
